With the help of funeral care service providers and desk research, we managed to map out current and possible dying matters in Hong Kong by different artefacts, services and developed an info graphic, which touched on different design disciplines. What happens after our death? This was the first research question to the participants of Fine Dying Study: 300 students from 7 disciplines and their tutors. It is also an untouchable question for many people. Why is there a need to talk about it? It is certainly a taboo area. With external influences, our literature review allowed us to construct the brief. While we adopt the Life Course Approach to design, which implies continuity of life and events' happening in cycles, a reference is being made to the cycle of production. All the findings of our Fine Ding Study (Sept – Dec 2013) were collected and put together into the death book, Fine Dying: Let’s co-design our dying issues (2015), , funded by Hong Kong Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation (HKHPCF).
